David Ruffley MP for 2015 General Election

" Bury St Edmunds Constituency Conservative Assoc is pleased to confirm that David Ruffley MP has been re adopted as the Conservative candidate for the 2015 General Election. Chairman of the Association, Andrew Speed, commented " David continues to be an excellent constituency MP.  He represents all constituents and brings a wealth of experience to the role, being a key player on the House of Commons Treasury Select Committee, whilst also working closely with local authorities and business groups to further the cause of Bury St Edmunds and the surrounding District.

This will be David s fifth General Election. Since being elected in 1997, his majority has increased to over 12,000, which is a vindication of the high regard in which he is held locally.

The Conservative Association has gone from strength to strength in recent years and works closely in support of both David and the excellent group of Borough, District and County Councillors who have added so much to the area in recent times.”

David Ruffley confirmed that “It is a real honour to be readopted for  this great constituency. I am pleased to say that my enthusiasm for my work is as strong now as when I was first elected. My Association is a great support to me, especially under its new and go ahead leadership”.
